The last one dealing with past events for now, about how they got their ship's cat. Also features Arqeez pounding a Sharkaz and Zekra facing the horrors of responsibility. And a character even more foul-mouthed than ger.

Yay, more A to Z!
Did I tell how much I appreciate your multi-staged plots? Things are never going the way the reader expects them to, and new variables are introduced, changing the outcome drastically. I wonder if Zekra told the poor Im Kpaz that ge doesn't require their services anymore, they were willing to risk the lives of their best after all.
"The negotiations were short" -- this meme fits Zekra's attitude towards pit fights well. Seeing ger in a good mood after that was a nice thing too, albeit not for very long.
The Heycariv scoundrel was a neat creature design, the clothing did much to underline this sentient being's status and personality. Too bad Arq was quite eager to neutralise them, that's what you get for pointing dangerous operational ends at others. Slightly worried about the Eshkenian business owner, as now the crime clan would think that they killed their member and probably increase their pressure or make efforts to have their revenge, even.
I love how Zekra realised that leaving Arq behind is just another act of runnng from the responsibilities and changed ger mind. Their reunion at the ship was a very touching moment for me, but I doubt that the bug guy could appreciate it as much as I did.
Speaking of which, I think Zekra wasn't too off by considering him to be of lesser intelligence. With his intelligence being pretty top-notch, to me Arq is still a being of lesser sentience, as he doesn't seem to have much command over his wits and only reacts to the outside world in a mechanical, yet very intelligent and complex manner. Learning to speak Unicomlang was one of those reactions, too. This all seems to be a product of his natural habitat, where swift problem-solving was of utmost importance, leaving almost no place for social interactions and all other matters which we humans consider as a part of being a sentient person.
And once again, you have reinforced the idea of Sciara being an old rustbucket, and indeed, flying in an aircraft which shakes and rattles constantly is quite scary, albeit very fun.
The illustrations are gorgeous as always, this time a bit more detailed, even. I'm very grateful that you take your time to include those, showing different creatures and environments that would otherwise be completely left to the reader's imagination.

Yay, more reviews!
Well, my issue with my own stories is that thanks to me plotting and writing them, they appear predictable to me, which might be the reason why it goes into one direction and ends up at a completely different place in the end. Though, with the current ideas I have for the next chapter, that one seems to have a more straightforward plot. And no, the Im Kpaz were not notified, as the two removed themselves from the planet quickly, lest more of the crime organisation show up.
That was certainly one of the funnier moments of the episode. Guess there were no good job offers plastered on the walls and if Arq was that eager to participate...
I am quite pleased with the Heycariv design as well, especially considering it came from a doodle I did after writing the chapter. Bayrodo was meant to be a high-ranked but young, overachieving individual too eager to please their mother/master, but making some rather stupid decisions in the process. And indeed, the Eshkenian is in for some crap, unless he involves local law enforcement or explains the events in a way making it clear to the clan that it was Bayrodo's own fault. Which, considering their track record, is not unlikely to be believed.
Well, if ge had left, most of the currently written episodes wouldn't have happened. Bug guy surely appreciated being able to continue travelling the stars with the one he owes his life to. No reunion nookie, though.
Well, as mentioned, intelligence is a combination of a myriad of traits rather than a singular value. The social stuff is indeed one of Arq's shortcomings, considering his species doesn't really live in societies, meanwhile he is a good observer and quick learner, although Unicomlang is an artificial language specifically designed to be easily learned and used by a multitude of species with varying communication skills.
Well, depends what you consider as fun if it sounds like a part might break off, leading either to ending up as a pancake on the ground or a balloon in a vacuum. At least the bucket got quieter after the Skiamus had a go at it.
This time I did indeed make them bigger and more detailed, which went at the cost of having to spend more time with making them. A to Z is indeed a story that works best in a visual medium, but since I don't have the skills or patience to draw comics, I settled for the most feasible alternative, being illustrated writing.
